Miranda is a seasoned legal recruiter with over a decade of experience in associate, counsel, and partner level attorney recruiting. She focuses on lateral partner and group movements in major markets across the United States. She is based in Houston and a frequent traveler to New York, California, and D.C.
Miranda went straight into legal recruiting after completing her law degree, practiced law in the late 2000s, then returned to legal recruiting. Over the course of her career, she has placed attorneys in AMLAW ranked firms, Fortune 100 companies, and high-end boutiques in New York, California, D.C., Texas and internationally in the U.A.E. and South America.
Over the years, Miranda had developed close relationships with major law firms across the United States. She has a deep knowledge of many major firms’ compensation structures, lateral movements (in and out), metrics, industry strengths, and cultural landscapes. She utilizes her network to truly understand their strategic plans for bringing in partner and group candidates.
Miranda works closely with candidates, often making every attempt to hop on a plane to meet them in person. She strives to go beyond the “metrics” to understand each partner’s client base and relationships and platform needs, the driving force behind the partner’s individual goals, and the support and “culture” they each need to thrive. Her ultimate goal is to make sure all parties have the intelligence, both public and non-public, they need to make an informed decision with regards to a lateral move.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She’s a yoga devotee and is known to be a Scotch snob.
